RE: School me about Class C RV tires!

I just replaced my two front tires at les schwabs and they recommended bumping up to a e rated 10 ply tire from the d rated tires that were replaced. No noticeable difference in the ride quality so far... $360ish for everything out the door!

RE: 21' Class C

Its funny, I keep thinking of building some sort of fiberglass curves to those flat spots to see if it does anything to my mileage... Those spots get so many bugs too!

RE: 21' Class C

I have a 1999 22' class C with a 350 CI gas engine on a Chev 1 ton chassis. With just the RV, I get about 12 mpg., Towing the Miata, I get 11. If you are doing better than that, I'd say that you are above average. http://ntahc.org/2007/0002.JPG Tim Nice looking rig, we have the same exact model (Sanoran Flyer with chevy 350) and get 12 MPG pretty much all the time.

RE: Grrr, Oregon Gas Stations !

I love having my gas pumped for me. Especially these days where people are on their cell phones all the time. One of these days someone's cell phone battery is going to spark or explode while they are on the phone pumping gas and then poof! Mythbusters tried to get a cell phone to light off gas vapor and could not make it happen, they busted this myth! Now static discharge is another issue that is real and has caused fires at gas pumps... Of the four times I got gas this last weekend in Oregon, only two were nice and seemed to actually want to be there! One was rude and made it clear he didn't want to get my gas, and one could not speak English (this is the one that left my cap off)... On another note, does anyone know if your supposed to tip these guys? Ironically, the only one that washed my windows was the non-english speaking guy who left my gas cap off and he was the only one that I gave a tip...

RE: Grrr, Oregon Gas Stations !

RE: Grrr, Oregon Gas Stations !

Ha ha, good to know I am not the only one who gets annoyed with it! Luckily, I ordered a box of parts for an old bmw a few years ago and their was a gas cap in the box when I got it (brand new). I didn't know why it was in the box, the company didn't want it back and it didn't fit my bmw so I just threw it in my tool box... Well surprise, surprise, it fits my motorhome like it a glove! I guess karma knew I was gonna get screwed in Oregon...

Grrr, Oregon Gas Stations !

I don't know if you other drivers feel this way but I really don't like the fact that Oregon wont let you pump your own gas... Not only do they never really fill up my tank all the way but some dumb ass decided not to put my gas cap back on halfway home (only to be told so by then next gas pumper about 200 miles down the road)... Seriously, how hard of a job could that be, how could you forget to put the gas cap back on? Grrr.... (sorry for the rant!)

RE: Neat Pic of our 21RB

The only thing I didn't like about that camp ground was the mosquito's that came out at dusk... Ah, yes, the state bird....:B I thought alaska's state bird was the mosquiteo? Alaska mosquito's make these little fellows look cute and cuddly! I spent 21 years fighting those bastards off in alaska (kenai/soldotna) and while the mosquitos here can be annoying, at least you can see thru a swarm of them!

RE: Decent 12v coffee maker???

I have used a coleman over the stove drip coffee maker, then a french press, now I just take instant coffee with me! Sure, its not as tasty as fresh ground but I just want to keep things easy and simple and a spoon of instant in hot water is about as simple as you can get!

Nice pics Mike. If it was this past weekend, then how hot was it up there? Wish I could be up in the hills but to much to do around the house. Looks great and nice rig. Need more Idaho pics in here. Safe and Happy Camping, Robert. Thanks, this was over mothers day so it was still nice and cool! I agree, we need to get Idaho some good press...

There was a hot spring right over they hwy and down by the river, its called the cauldron and it was pretty nice (but not very deep or big)...
